What is Dr. Anderson's approach to organizational consulting and coaching?

Her approach is influenced not only by psychological training and experience, but by a previous 14-year career in corporate management. Both consultation and coaching typically involve these elements:

  • Client's goals and expectations are clarified and articulated, and organizational or individual strengths that can be leveraged to address the problem are identified
  • Information needed for developing strategy is gathered.
  • Data are analyzed, problem conceptualization is refined, and action plan is created.
  • Action plan is implemented. Elements usually involve initiation of new behaviors, self-monitoring, feedback from various sources, and evaluation of results.
  • Plan is developed for improving and/or maintaining a specified performance level.
